Problem

Within a 36-hour period, design and develop a android app that helps society in some way. The app needs to utilize one piece of hardware and needs a social element. 

Brief

One of the largest problems our world faces today is food insecurity and wastefulness of produce. What if there was a way to hand off unused produce and food items that might be wasted otherwise?

what we did

Savor is meant to connect communities and reuse what would be wasted food otherwise. Savor users can contact each other to hand off meals and produce to those that are food insecure, users can find out where food drop-off locations are, and certain users with an abundance of food, such as grocery stores, can drop off pre-expired goods at designated locations around urban areas.
